Moorpark is one of the few communities in southern California that still has a hometown feel to it. The city is divided into north and south Moorpark and its main drag, High Street, is lined with pepper trees and is home to the High Street Arts Center and mom-and-pop businesses. Originally known for its apricot farms, Moorpark is still home to the popular Underwood Farms, where visitors can pick their own produce, purchase fresh fruits and vegetables, bring their children to the petting zoo and take them on a hayride or plan a wedding at the lovely Walnut Grove. The acclaimed documentary, "The Biggest Little Farm," was filmed in Moorpark. The city is also home to the highly regarded Moorpark Community College and its world-famous EATM -- Exotic Animal Training Management program. The Moorpark Couinty Club is surrounded by large executive homes and is close to the newer homes in north Moorpark, many of them built to be ecologically "green."
